Our Story
Rural Dotz was formed by five friends who have known each other for more than two decades and residing all over the world, including in India (Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh), Europe (The Netherlands) and North America (Canada). We have professional engineering and life sciences experience both in international and domestic markets for 10-17 years. We are extremely passionate about entrepreneurship as well as giving back to our people, community, and our planet. After our market research, the Agro field has brought us together to start our social entrepreneurship journey enabling our technology experience for this noble field with great purpose.
Our motto is to enable sustainable, profitable, and predictable farming so that our Agro products are globally accessible. The aim is to connect farmers, families and stakeholders including experts from academia and industry in the Agro field to provide better quality products and services to customers. We apply the latest technologies in farming and play a "Fair Connect" role between farmers and their customers, enabling farmers to get the best prices for their produce.Our collective work can cover most of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by UNESCO. To name a few, it will help us in eradicating poverty, can achieve zero hunger, good health and well-being, clean water and sanitation, and climate action.
To ensure quality, Rural Dotz has connected with experts in the Agriculture and EXIM fields that share our vision in India. We are also in discussion with experts at Wageningen University and Research in the Netherlands to incorporate the latest technologies that can empowerfarmers. Rural Dotz is also a part of the startup ecosystem at EDII-PHBIF Agro, Periyakulam Horticulture University and Research in Tamil Nadu, India. This university is renowned for plant research and is the leading Moringa research institute and it has developed the high-yield Moringa varieties "PKM1 and PKM2" in the world. We are currently sourcing and supplying Moringa, Neem, Spirulina, Ashwagandha and Aloe Vera products.
To further improve farmers' skills, our on going pilot farming projects in India showcase practical applications of the latest technologies and research.
True to our founding principle, farmers are at the heart of everything we do at Rural Dotz. We are proud to support our hero and champion, Mr. Periyasamy, who manages our pilot farming operations in Tamil Nadu, India.
To support his family, Periyasamy spent many years working in the Middle East under challenging conditions, far away from his loved ones. Today, as part of our shared vision, he has returned to India to help lead this farming revolution. He is now living with his family and building a better future through sustainable agriculture.
In the next step, we will develop more farms and bring more people back to their native places so that they can live with their family and earn a better living via our pioneering sustainable farming models.
